Privacy Policy

1. What Information Do We Collect?

Information you provide. We collect personal information you voluntarily provide when using our Services: your email address (via Google Sign-In) and profile preferences you choose to share (the name antagonists call you, pronoun, weak spots). We do not process sensitive personal information (racial/ethnic origin, health data, etc.).

Information collected automatically. When you use the Services we automatically collect certain technical information: IP address, browser type, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, and usage data (pages viewed, features used, timestamps). This includes log data (server logs), device data, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

2. How Do We Process Your Information?

We process your information to: provide and maintain the Service (authentication, game mechanics, AI responses); personalize your experience (the antagonist uses the name and details you provide); track and display your progression (verdicts, Frame Strength scores, fight history); maintain security and prevent fraud (including rate limiting); and comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the EU or UK, we rely on the following legal bases: consent (when you sign in and agree to our Terms); performance of a contract (to provide the Services you request); legal obligations (when required by law); and vital interests (to protect safety when necessary).

4. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Information?

We may share your data with: Firebase / Google Cloud (hosting, authentication, and database infrastructure); AI inference providers that generate antagonist replies (they receive dialogue text, not your account identity); PostHog (product analytics); and, in connection with a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as part of a business transaction.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use a small set of cookies and browser storage for authentication, keeping your local fight history, and analytics. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

6. International Data Transfers

Our primary servers are located in the European Union (Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure). Data may still be processed on Google’s global infrastructure, and analytics are processed by PostHog in the United States. Where data leaves the EEA/UK, we rely on European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards.

7. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data. Certain data may be retained longer if required by law.

8. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Use the Services within a secure environment.

9. Children

Antagonist AI is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us at olha@antagnistai.com and we will delete it.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access (request a copy of your personal data); rectification (correct inaccurate information); erasure (delete your account and all data — available on the Account page: Delete account); portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format — available on the Account page: Export my data); objection to processing in certain circumstances; and withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.

11. Do-Not-Track

We do not currently respond to Do-Not-Track browser signals, as no uniform standard exists. If a standard is adopted, we will update this policy.

12. US Residents — Specific Rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, and other US states with applicable privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know, correct, delete, or opt out of the sale of personal information. Categories collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (email address, online identifier, IP address); protected classifications (gender, demographic data you provide); commercial information (subscription / purchase history); internet activity (usage data, interactions with the app); and approximate geolocation via IP. We do not collect biometric or sensitive personal information.

California residents may request information about personal data disclosed to third parties for direct marketing ("Shine The Light"). To submit any request: olha@antagnistai.com

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Significant updates will be communicated via the app or email.
